Last updated: 29 June 2026
GoJom! (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates letsgojom.com and the GoJom! platform, a ride-coordination service for mountain bike riders and crews. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
By using GoJom!, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Data we collect
Account data
When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We store these to create and identify your GoJom! account.
Profile data
You may provide additional information during onboarding and in your profile, including your riding level (beginner, intermediate, advanced, expert), username, display name, location, and a short bio.
Ride and activity data
When you post or join rides, we collect and store ride details such as title, date, location, meeting point, discipline, difficulty, distance, photos, and participant lists. This data is visible to other users on the platform.
Communications data
Messages sent within GoJom! crew chats are stored to power the messaging feature. Do not share sensitive personal or financial information in crew chats.
Usage data
We may collect anonymised usage information such as pages visited, features used, and device type for the purpose of improving the platform. This data is not linked to your identity.
2. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account
- To match you with rides and crew members that fit your riding level and preferences
- To send transactional emails related to your account activity (ride confirmations, join requests, reminders)
- To display your public profile to other riders on the platform
- To improve the GoJom! platform and fix issues
- To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-party services
GoJom! uses the following third-party services that may process your data as part of delivering the platform:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and real-time infrastructure. Your account and ride data is stored on Supabase servers.
- Google OAuth — used for sign-in. Google's privacy policy governs data processed during the OAuth flow.
- Resend — used to send transactional emails. Your email address is passed to Resend solely to deliver GoJom! emails.
- Vercel — web hosting and serverless infrastructure. Request logs may be retained by Vercel per their data retention policy.
- Sanity — content management for static platform content.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We select providers that meet appropriate data protection standards.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Ride data may be retained after a ride has passed for the purpose of building your ride history and profile.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to object to or restrict processing
- The right to data portability
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@letsgojom.com. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
GoJom! uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled without breaking core platform functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
7. Children
GoJom! is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of GoJom! after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
